Jon is a Knoxville native and 2018 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. While attending law school, Jon clerked for the Tennessee Attorney General’s office in Nashville, the White Collar Crimes Unit of the Knox County District Attorney’s office, and the General Counsel for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. He was selected to represent the University of Tennessee in a national moot court competition, was a member of the moot court board, and served as Director of a student-led legal advice clinic for Knoxville’s homeless community. Jon was also awarded a Certificate of Excellence for high marks in Trial Practice and the Pro Bono Gold Medal for his hours of legal service.
Prior to joining the firm in August, Jon was an associate with a respected plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Knoxville, and a boutique family law firm in Johnson City. Jon has successfully represented clients in divorces, parenting plan modifications, parental relocation disputes, child support modifications, and various other family law matters, and will continue to focus his practice on Domestic Relations and Civil Litigation at Bernstein, Stair & McAdams.
