Biography

Allison graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Tennessee in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with a double concentration in African American Studies and Women Studies. She later graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Law in 2004 and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in November 2004. Allison has been recognized in Cityview Magazine as a Top Attorney for Family Law and Adoption, most recently in 2020. She was also voted runner-up in Metro Pulse for Best Lawyer in Knoxville in 2013.

She is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court. In 2020, Allison was selected as a Fellow of the Knoxville Bar Foundation and was a member of the 2020 graduating class of Leadership Knoxville.

Allison is heavily involved throughout the community holding several leadership positions. She currently serves as a mentor in the UT Promise Mentor Program, Vice President of the Arts & Cultural Alliance Board of Directors which she has served on since 2015, and the Knoxville Opera Board of Directors which she has served on since 2009. Allison is also a member of the Knoxville Opera Guild and serves on the Board of Directors for Nief-Norf, a contemporary chamber music ensemble. She has also served on the Diversity Advisory Committee at the Episcopal School of Knoxville and as a member of the Knox Heritage Board of Directors where she served as Vice President of the organization from 2013-2015.
