Bernstein, Stair & McAdams is pleased to announce that Jacob Refner has joined the firm as an associate attorney practicing in the fields of Business Litigation, Insurance Law, Corporate Law, Construction Law, Bankruptcy and general Civil Litigation.

Jacob is a native of Phoenix, Arizona, and a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law class of 2021 with a Business Concentration. During his time in law school, Jacob was an editor for the Space Law Journal, a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council, and an advocate for small local businesses through the Transactional Clinic.

Prior to law school, Jacob received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Business Management from Arizona State University, and spent nearly a decade working in the real estate investment and aerospace fields in managerial roles. He brings a unique perspective to Bernstein, Stair, and McAdams through his background and education, and is eager to give back to the local Knoxville community that has been so welcoming.
